Guided tours (Saturdays and Sundays)
Description
- With this visit you will discover the importance of Casa Coll i Regàs. The house was commissioned by the textile industrialist Joaquim Coll i Regàs to the architect from Mataró, Josep Puig i Cadafalch.
During the industrial revolution (1832-1935) cities were transformed. The richest and most affluent families, the bourgeoisie, promoted a new style of architecture, modernism.
The Casa Coll i Regàs is a good example of modernism and how cities were transformed.
It is a work of art that combines innovation with more traditional techniques and arts.
It is also a good example of hygienist architecture, a movement that applied different solutions to make buildings healthier.
The guided tour includes the main floor and the garden terrace, where we will end the visit with a coffee.
Visits in Catalan on Saturdays and Sundays
